David Emery was elected as Alderman for the City of Lytle District 3 in May 2021. Following high school, he enlisted in the USAF where he served over twenty years as both enlisted and officer. Following his retirement from the military, Emery served churches in Texas and Germany. He taught Biblical studies at Grayson County College (in Denison, Texas) for five years and English at the American University in Bulgaria for eight and a half years. He has lived in Thailand, Greece, Germany, Belgium, and Bulgaria as well as in six states in the U.S. Emery holds BA and MS degrees from Lubbock (TX) Christian University and an Ed. M. degree in Counseling from Boston University.
