Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

COVID-19 is a new virus that causes respiratory illness in people and can spread from person to person.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the risk of COVID-19 to the American public is low.  There are simple everyday actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.  These include: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; use an alcohol based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available; avoid close contact with people who are sick; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands; cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash; and clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.  Symptoms- Patients with COVID-19 have reportedly had mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of cough, fever, and shortness of breath.  If you are sick, you should stay home and call your healthcare provider.  For more information visit:
