IH 35 Frontage Road Improvements

IH 35 PROJECT

IH 35 Frontage Road Improvements to Begin in Lytle

WHERE: IH 35 from FM 3175 to FM 2790

WHEN: March 2022 to Winter of 2023

WHAT: Construction begins on March 7th for pavement rehabilitation and widening of the IH 35 Northbound and Southbound frontage roads. The project will include drainage extensions, signal upgrade at FM 2790 and sidewalks. During construction the frontage roads will be temporarily converted to one way operation. One lane of traffic will remain open throughout the duration of the project. Ramp closures will be necessary but minimal. The first stage will be the drainage extensions and rebuilding the intersections. 

The Texas Department of Transportation awarded the project to Anderson Columbia Company, Inc. for $6.4 million. For project information please contact the TxDOT Hondo Area Office at (830) 741-8024.
