NOTICE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL TO
CITY OF LYTLE
MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF CITY PROPERTIES
The City of Lytle requests proposals from any prospective vendor for the above-captioned subject that is described in the attached document.
PROPOSALS ARE DUE:
Proposals must be received by December 30, 2022, at 4 P.M. at the Lytle City Hall 14916 Main Street, Lytle, Texas 78052. No proposals will be accepted after 4 P.M. on the above-scheduled due date. Proposals may be submitted by U.S. Mail or in person and will be considered only when said proposals are physically in the identified above at the time fixed for receiving said proposals.
City seeks a Bid with a Flat Rate per month for the maintenance and upkeep of the following city properties. The contractor agrees to perform the following services:
- Mow, trim, edge, etc., the grounds once every two weeks, or as necessary during periods of slow growth of grass/weeds (mowing shall be deemed necessary when the grass/weeds reach a height of 3 to 4 inches);
- Keep the grounds clear of loose trash and debris; and,
- Water, as necessary.
- John Lott Municipal Park located at 15059 Adams Street and 19010 Live Oak Street;
- Matias Galicia Park located at the corner of Hidalgo and San Jose Streets in the Coal Mine Subdivision;
- Lytle Veterans’ Memorial Park located at 15421 Main Street;
- Lytle Public Library located at 19325 FM 2790 N.;
- Lytle Community Center located at 14620 Priest Blvd.;
- Lytle Animal Control Facility located at 17971 FM 2790 N.;
- Lytle City Hall located at 14916 Main Street;
- Gidley Estate located at 15110 Main Street; and
“Acts of God” shall not change the monthly price quoted by the contractor in the bid.
Must be an independent contractor with their own equipment.
Only in cases of an emergency declared by the Lytle City Council, the City shall negotiate an increase in the monthly fee.
Contractor shall agree to indemnify the City of Lytle, its officers, and employees from and against any and all claims, damages, and liabilities that may arise from the service contract.
The contract for the above-mentioned service may be awarded to either the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder, who provides the goods and/or services at the best value for the City of Lytle, Texas. The Lytle City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
CONTRACTORS, PLEASE NOTE: THE ABOVE-MENTIONED BID SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE PART OF THE CONTRACT FOR MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP SERVICES.
